Signs it's time to talk to someone
- You've spent more money or time than you planned, more than once.
- You keep playing to win back what you've lost.
- You've borrowed, used bill money or hidden your play from people close to you.
- You feel restless, irritable or low when you're not playing.
- A feature or jackpot starts to feel "due" after a long dry run.
One of these is enough reason to call. You don't have to wait for things to get worse. If you're telling yourself a game is "due", our guide to how to win on pokies explains why no pattern or system beats a pokie.
Limits that work for online play
- Budget in dollars. Decide what you can afford to lose before you open a lobby, and treat it as spent.
- Put a clock on it. Screen-time settings on iPhone and Android can lock your browser after a set time.
- Block gambling payments. Many Australian banks let you block gambling transactions on your cards from the banking app. If you can't find the setting, call your bank.
- Ask about casino tools first. Before depositing anywhere, ask what deposit limits, time-outs and self-exclusion the casino offers. We haven't verified Fair Go's tools, so ask its support directly.
- Know what BetStop covers. BetStop, the national self-exclusion register, covers licensed Australian wagering providers. It doesn't cover offshore casinos.
Bonuses keep money in play
A deposit bonus isn't free money. Fair Go's welcome bonus carries 30x wagering on deposit plus bonus, which means many spins before anything can be withdrawn. That's fine if you planned for it, and risky if a bonus nudges you into a bigger deposit than you meant to make. Cashback works the same way. It softens a loss, but it's no reason to deposit again.
Our Play Now buttons are ads
This site earns a commission when people join Fair Go through our links, and our buttons are designed to be noticed. If you're trying to cut back, close this tab. Nothing here is a reason to play.
What offshore play means
Fair Go is an offshore casino, not licensed in Australia, and ACMA may block access. If a dispute comes up, there's no Australian regulator or complaints scheme to turn to. Fair Go's terms set a minimum age of 18+.
Under 18s
Gambling is for adults only. If young people use your phone, tablet or computer, parental controls and content filters can block gambling sites.
